HTML Display in Outlook 2007
Outlook seems to have some challenges displaying HTML e-mail in the preview pane. It’s choking on an e-mail I just received from GoDaddy.com to renew a domain name.

O.K.. here’s the scoop.
It appears that avg is the culprit. Disable the email part of avg, and you will be fine.
Since then I have no dramas, and all seems ok.

Hey,
I’ve had the same problem, and did the same thing, however, the emails that were previously downloaded on outlook are still no displaying, all new emails however are.
Also, with AVG you don’t need to disable the email scanner, if you go in and configure the plugin take off the Certify mail of both incoming and outgoing. Thats whats going it!

No fix. Once they have been downloaded from the server, they are trashed. Nothing you can do about it.
Luckily, it only trashed about 6 of my emails, so I wasn’t badly affected.
Cheers.

Thanks Bart,
I now regret I don’t have all of my mail first going to my Gmail account. You see, with that account I always leave the mail on the server. I’m not sure if the problem should be accounted against AVG or Microsoft. I suppose it should be on my own shoulders because I knew it was a Beta program. At least I’m thankful the email I lost was not of great importance and the attachments are still intact.

But I’m losing text from emails in my sent box - is that the same problem? I’ve switched AVG off as suggested and the problem seems to have gone away.

You can see the empty emails text if you copy the .msg file to the desktop and open it with notepad.

I to did not receive the bodies of my email messages and the messages I tried to send, although they went to my Outbox as normal, the body of the message was not there either and unbeknownst to me, I was sending blank email messages. I now have no problems. Go into AVG, open “Email Scanner” click “Configure” and uncheck the “Certify Mail” box under both Incoming & Outgoing Email Scanning and all should be well. I to lost the emails I had received during this problem, but prior to, and since, everything is ok. Good Luck.

My business partner is not able to read my html emails. If i change my outgoing emails to plain text, she can read them perfectly. Is the problem from her security settings or my outlook 2007 program? Thanks
